(Assuming you're talking about scalp EEG)  The best filter settings are something along the lineas of high-pass at 0.1-1 Hz and a low-pass at around 60 Hz.

The location will be on the parietal cortex, and really depends on your electrode placement. Broadly speaking, the central P, PO and O electrodes should be able to detect the P100 and 300.

Thanks Ewan. Yes you are right, scalp EEG. Being a beginner I am not very sure as what you meant by saying electrode placement but its a 32 channel cap in 10-20 system. In one of the papers (Petit et al. 2015) authors have studied Pz, P3, P4, POz, Cz, and Fz. They have filtered it with 30 Hz low pass filter. So, do these electrodes give P300 and P100 for any visual stimulus at this filter or it depends on the stimulus itself? for example P300 and P100 for pictures of alcohol, money, or any reward will come from these electrodes and the suggested filter width or it depends on the type of visual stimulus also or these settings are applicable to study P100 and 300 for any such visual paradigm?

I recommend you to use a filter with bandwidth [0.1-30]Hz, and the following proceeding:

1) filter entire EEG.

2) reference to the Common Average Reference (CAR).

3) normalize each channel to zero mean and unitary variance (optional, if you don't care about uV).

4) linear detrending of each epoch . Usually 100 ms before and 800 ms after the stimulus presentation is desirable.

5) coherent average of target epochs.

You will locate P300 in Central electrodes (Cz, C4, C3), N100 in occipitals and P100 is not always well identified but it must be located on parietal electrodes. I have a matlab function that extracts does this stuff but for BCI2000 data. Maybe it could be useful for you to write your own code.
