I need RPMI without phenol red to grow bacteria in various types of assays where i won't fix bacteria but let them grow. I found a type of media at Thermofisher which has L-glutamine

but lacks HEPES and Phenol Red.

Will it be ok to allow bacteria like E.coli grow? Do you think it may work with other gram-negative bacteria or it could be different?

there is also a typology which lacks glutamine as well...
