Hi,
I am working with qPCR data, where I independently used a standard curve to calculate the gene copy number in my soil samples as a proxy for bacteria and fungal biomass. However, I currently have a gene copy number, and I need to convert/normalize this value to a gene copy number per gram of soil. For some reason, I am having difficulty understanding how to go about this.
My gene copy number is copy number /ul, and I first thought of just doing a conversion to get to copy number/g, but I don't think this is quite correct. Can anyone please tell me if they have done this and how?
Thanks :)
