I want to use Concentrating solar cell developed by Spectro lab, USA and wish sole guidelines for the same. Is it possible to store the power generated by these cells be stored by any type of batteries? which is the most suitable battery for this cell?
I'd recommend lithium-ion batteries over Ni-Cd batteries for the following reasons:
1) Lithium-ion batteries are smaller (less footprint) and lighter in weight than a Ni-Cad battery of the same capacity.
2) Lithium-ion batteries are more reliable and durable than Ni-Cd batteries. Unfortunately, however, they are two to three times more expensive than Ni-Cad batteries.
3) Lithium-ion batteries have virtually no self-discharge. This feature allows a lithium ion battery to be stored for months without losing charge.

How many concentrator cells are you using? I think their Voc is a bit less than a lithium ion battery so you would need adaptor electronics and probable a MPPT designed to work a that voltage. As Yehia states, use Li ion batteries if possible. Don't forget that any concentrator cell is a tandem and designed to work at very high sun levels. So it MUST be kept cool or it will be destroyed by the sunlight it is supposed to be converting. I suspect that at 500 suns it would not last more than a few seconds without cooling.
