Project overview: I have a coil pipe with water passing through it, and all submerged into a water tank with constant temp of 60 degrees. Water temp in the coil is 10 degrees, I am trying to obtain the water's outlet temp (I am using convection schemes throughout). Inlet flow rate is around 2lt/m. Coil has a thin diameter of 35mm.
My question is which turbulence you would recommended to use?

Hi Varnis, considering you are interested in wall effects, I'd go for a k-omega based model, probably SST. Use sufficient wall resolution (low y+) to get the best results.
y+ depends on your mesh, it's a dimensionless wall distance essentially. You can visualize the local y+ using a contour plot. Refine your mesh to ensure y+ ~1 in the smallest grid cells, and use enhanced wall functions, if you want to exploit the benefits of SST (in the free-stream, it acts as k-epsilon, hence when using a poor wall resolution you might be better of using k-e realizable, but you might lose relevant near-wall details).
