Hello i am working on synthesis of better TiO2 photocatalyst for degradation of Phenol and Benzene from waste water. As previously lots of work has been made. i have started work on TiCl3 precursor and have chosen Fe doping here. But i dont have idea weather it is good or not. So, i want to know the previously reported most of established way of preparing TiO2 catalyst redarding these purpose as so many literature has been done and it is hard to do study all together. Please help me.

You can use a sol gel method to prepare titania...
you must use TiCl4 as precursor with ethanol....you can read the following thesis of my MSC student
you can load Fe(II) by using the same method (photo-deposition)
that I used in my thesis (CH2) to loaded Pt and Au on TiO2
Fe is a good choice for its feasibility of separation due to its magnetic properties.

In order to get anatase TiO2 with high surface, its better to follow sol-hydrothermal route using Titanium butaoxide as a precursor. For removal of phenol and benzene from waste water, you can try doping Ce, Fe, Co and Sr elements.
