As mmwave channel is sparse in nature. For this sparse channel estimation we use sparse Bayesian learning (SBL) algorithm which uses Expectation Maximization (EM) algorithm.

Can we use Approximate Message Passing (AMP) algorithm along with EM algorithm to estimate this sparse channel in mmwave hybrid MIMO System. Which algorithm (SBL or AMP+EM)will perform better in terms of performance / complexity?
