Thank you, the above mentioned are all OK, in addition to Ch-Square. The ANOVA is fine if you intended to do a post HC analysis.

To add to these good answers Aanchal, the proper statistic is not so much determined by how many variables you are measuring, but more by the way you are measuring the variables. Is anxiety measured on an ordinal or continuous scale? If it is ordinal, you might consider using a nonparametric test, such as chi-square, though the statistic will only be meaningful if you consider the odds-ratio as well. A parsimonious test for your variables, however, would be the Manney-White ranking statistic rather than a chi-square.

If factors are quantitative variables one suggestion is ANOVA with MIXED Model .Geneder as fixed effect. Student as Random effect.

DV seem not to be quantitative so you can’t apply an ANOVA model. If it is on ordinal scale maybe you can apply a multinomial logistic regression setting lower level of DV as baseline.
