1. MIC was done using double dilution method following CLSI guidelines, starting from 100 ug/ml to 0.2 ug/ml and a negative control group. (Total 11 broth tubes).
2. The tests were performed in triplicate per bacteria per drug dilution.
3. Result for the experiment was interpreted as Sensitive or Resistant for dilutions at appearance of turbidity in broth and after spectro-photometric confirmation.
4. The lowest concentration with no bacterial growth was noted as MIC of the material for that bacteria.

Ya, Actually, i have found different analyses in different articles, and recently one of my manuscript got rejected for the reason that stat analyses were not correct...!
Few people say that we should go for nonparametric test and few say that we should convert data to parametric and go for analyses.
MIC are determined through observation of tubes where no growth appears. A concentration is considered as MIC when no growth is observed in the three replication performed at that concentration. So you cannot calculated means and standard deviation. Thus MIC will be either 100, 50...or 0.2ug/ml. The suitable test that i suggest if you want to compare the MIC of the 4 materials is Rank-Sum test or Kruskall-Wallis test.
Regarding resistance to antibiotic, the data collected can be expressed as the percentage of resistant or sensitive strains to a specific antibiotic or to treatment with a material. Here i suggest khi square test for comparison of proportions.
Hii I have done such work with 4 antifungal agents on 4 different strains of fungal samples. The total sample number was 80. ou can use ANOVA to compare the sensitivity of the isolates. Otherwise if you want to present all the MIC of all the isolates you can mention the ranges MIC you got for different samples. Let me know if you need more help.
I have not done experimental bacterial work and MIC . As it is out of my
especialities . But usually for my experimental work I use the student t test and ANOVA anaylsis or use the SPSS programme that contains both and more.

Usually, MIC data are reported descriptively in tables with their SD. Up to my knowledge, inferential statistics, using parametric or nonparametric data, are not commonly used in interpreting MIC data.
