I am studying the effects of stress on job satisfaction and performance.
I will collect answers from questionnaires and will see if stress has an overall negative effect on job satisfaction and performance on the whole group. I then want to split this group into 2 smaller groups and see if there is a difference in stress levels, job satisfaction and performance between the two . I am not sure which statistical tests i will need.
Could anyone provide me with help.
IV- job stress
DV 1 -job satisfaction
DV 2-performance.

I would compute correlations to see if stress relates to satisfaction and performance, and independent group t-tests to compare your two groups.

I think you can apply independent T test for comparing mean value of Job Stress or Job Satisfaction for your 2 groups. But, if you want to investigate the relationships, you should use correlation coefficients.
You need to create two regression equations:
1. Job Stress (IV) and Job Satisfaction (DV);
2. Job Stress (IV) and Performance (DV);
You need to run the above two equations one by one. After running the first equation split the sample into males and female and follow procedure given below, this will help you to know if the difference between the slopes of two groups is significantly different or not:

Later, you can repeat the same process for the second equation.
