The colorimetric detection of Iron (III) was carried out using AgNPs synthesized by plant extract. Different concentrations of Iron (III) were added into 1 mL solution of AgNPs and the change in color as well as SPR band was observed.
Thank you so much for your keen interest sir. I supposed the oxidation-reduction mechanism behind this behaviour. The proposed method could provide less time consuming experiments as well as avoid the use of hazardous chemicals. The present method is completely environment friendly that don't needed external energy supply like heating and stirring during synthesis. I may not get your rest of the half part of question.

Did you consider using EPR? The X-band spectra shall give at least a rough estimate, if not quantitatively but at least qualitatively.
