We are developing conductive ink using reduced graphene oxide nanoparticles and cellulose nanocrystals. We tried with ethanol and water and carried out probe sonication for 2 hrs. But still, rGO is settled down at the base. Also suggest the optimum % of cellulose nanocrystals needed to avoid the agglomeration of rGO nanoparticles.
N-Methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) could be the best for cellulose (2 wt. % ) and rGO homogeneous mixing without any agglomeration.
Xuhua Wang and Viney Ghai Thank you for your responses. I used 97.75 wt % water, 2 wt % rGO, and 0.25 wt % cellulose nanocrystals, but after 2 days, all solid particles have settled down to the bottom. Does it require any additional binding additives to prepare conductive ink?

You might consult ISO 14887, Sample Preparation -- Dispersion procedures for powders in liquids. This covers some issues affecting the usual size distribution procedures and provides tables of recommended liquids and dispersants for a wide variety of particle surface compositions.
The dispersants generally adsorb on the particle surface and either make the particles repel one another or physically keep the particle surfaces from approaching one another.
