I have to solve an impact problem in which a cylindrical object hits a plate with high-velocity using the material point method.
For high strain rate problems like impact and explosion, autodyne ans lsdyna is suggested.
You can using explicit dynamic in ansys workbench. Search about same models simulation in YouTube then compare the softwares.
As far as I know, Autodyn and Ls-dyna haven't introduced this feature yet but they both have SPH solver.
You should either use other commercial softwares like "MPMsim" or write your own code using C++ or python.
Yes you are right I am writing my own code in matlab but for impact problem I am not able to formulate it so will you please help me in formulation
