do you want to applicate the scavenger on whole plant parts or plant cells ?

N-Acetyl-Csteine (NAC) is commonly used as global unspecific ROS scavenger. It scavenges extra- and intracellular ROS via two ways. 1) It can accept eletrons by itself and 2) it replenishes the Gluthathion pool of the cell.

okay that sounds not so simple to accomplish :D So the substance has to cross the different outer plant layers (cuticle, cell wall) until it reaches the cells right? Thats difficult, because you want something that dissovles in water (because of spraying) but also diffuses over lipid-rich compartments. NAC might not be a good choice then. I am sorry. I will search and see, if I can find soemthing.
