if i want to deposit Aluminium metal on to  silicon,  i can straight way deposit on to silicon since it has good adhesion with silicon. But if want to deposit gold, i need to deposit first  adhesion layer like chromium or titanium on silicon and then gold i have to deposit, since gold is not  good adhesion to silicon. so which  material property makes one material having good adhesion to silicon or not.
