I would suggest to use UV-initiator or gama radiation or oxygen plasma induced graft polymerization on PVDF. For acrylic acid, you should use either the mixture of water/THF or mixture of MEK/water or FeSO4 in water at temperature 50-60 degree. Before proceeding for graft polymerization, you should purify your monomer (AA) under vacuum and stored at -20 C (in freezer). AA has tendency to make homopolymer very fast, even low temperature is sufficient to polymerize acrylic acid (e.g. 40 C). The addition of THF or MEK or FeSO4 improve graft polymerization and supress homopolymerization.
