I am not sure I understood the question but each photosynthetic pathway has its advantages to adapt to special climate/landscape conditions. Selection on C4 species derived in improved summer crops. Many winter crops are C3. Grazing management may be planned to favours one special grass type, by disminishing grazing pressure during frutification or vegetative reproduction period.
