Hello... During my study sample analysis, due to some technical problem curtain gas of LCMSMS was modified to 30 instead of 10. So my question is which parameters are required to perform in partial method validation due to change in my said source parameters?
Curtain gas affects the amount of ions entering mass spectrometer from ion source. The only change you can observe is the sensitivity loss. Thus, you should re-determine the limit of detection (LOD) value.
I would make this an opportunity to show the robustness of the method which is part of validation. Changing the curtain gas shouldn't change the results much if at all. Run several check standards at several different curtain gas values say 10, 20 and 30 and show that there is no significant difference in the standards. If you find a significant difference then a more rigorous validation (linearity, precision, accuracy, and etc.) is called for.

Well it depends of course on which machine you are working with. In my view curtain gas has 2 functions: make sure the ions that shall come into the MS get into the MS, the other one is make sure that uncharged particles are rejected from the MS.
Thus sensitivity as well as stablity of the MS is dependent on the "right" curtain gas flow.
