I am testing a new material as adsorbent for the removal of methyl orange dye from aqueous solution, I got the below results, do I need to go further with higher concentrations even the removal percentage started to decrease? and wich adsorption capacity I can report for my material?
Asim A. Balakit Plot Qe vs Ce and find Qm (use models like Langmuir, BET etc), to compare efficiency with other adsorbents the norm is to compare Qm. % removal can be done at the screening part when you have many adsorbents to evaluate.

I think you've gotten very good percentage removal at 250ppm. With Qm at 250, it pretty much shows that higher concentrations won't matter much. It would be best to stop here.
Both are important. However, from a practical point of view, the most important is %removal, also called adsorption efficiency. In environmental protection, it doesn't matter whether q (qe, qm) is 1, 10, or 100 mg/g, but whether the %removal for given Co is close to 100%.
The adsorption capacity deduced from the qe and the %of adsorption are both important to evaluate the efficiency of the tested adsorbent
The adsorption capacity depends on the difference between the initial concentration and the final concentration
As it results from the attached table, 2 g/dm3 of adsorbent was used. It is worth considering a significant increase in Co. Without it, the determination of qm will be impossible, and this limiting value is worth knowing.
From your experimental and calculated data, you have gotten a good adsorption at concentration of 250mg/l and further increase leads to reduction in adsorption efficiency of the adsorbent because it has reached equilibrium. So no need for conc. Increase. The two parameters are important in adsorption analysis for better understanding of adsorptive performance of your testing material
Asim A. Balakit When you plot Qe vs Ce, there is a huge data gap from the last and second last point. You need to have at least one data point to bridge the gap.
I use the Langmuir model and Qm is 260 unit (or mg per g?), SE 14.63.
