I have attached one file having two photos of Chaetomium sp. I have isolated one of it from air. Photographs attached. Please tell me which is Chaetomium?
I have attached two photos of the spores. They are usually grey to pale black so the color in one of them is not good. But it shows the fruiting bodies and their unique shape of a lemon. Hope this helps Aerobiology Research, Canada
@ Swapna: As mentioned by others: Your pictures are to bad.
@ Frances: You don't show a fruiting body. In your pictures there are spores and one ascus, but no fruiting bodies.
The first picture shows young asci, the second riped asci with characteristic ascospores (correctly mentioned by Frances and Rosa) and the third shows a fruiting body of Chaetomium. Hope it helps a bit, and by the way my pictures are only for personal use.
The pictures that I sent are from outdoor air samples. You will NOT see fruiting bodies in outdoor air samples. The pictures are good and they are both Chaetomium. Sorry Swapna I cannot do any better that that. Your pictures are not showing the spores well enough
