Currently I'm working on a project using RFID technology. As a part of that I need to attach the RFID IC (NXP UCODE G2iL IC) to the antenna. Anyone help me on how to attach the IC like which pins should be soldered and connected? What is the procedure?

For prototyping, you can find such IC in a small packaging that facilitates the connection by soldering (with a good binocular and a fine iron tip, ;-) of course), for exemple: SL3S1203FTB0,115 available at Mouser. There is other RFID IC ucode available with cms housing, check with key words 'sl3s' and 'ucode'.

Yes normally RFP and RFN (pin 1 and pin 3 of the sot886 package), see the first attached picture. But, few years ago, i had experienced a connection between RFP and VDD (pin 1 and pin 6) with a dipole antenna made of two length of 9cm of fine wire (about 15/100mm in diameter), see the others attached pictures. And sorry I do not remember why anymore. Yet this such assembly had been succesfully tested with Voyantic reader.
This is how I want to attach the IC to the antenna using the copper pads. It is going to work right?

The good connections for the antenna is on RFP and RFN pins.
I searched in my notes and finally the antenna connection to RFP and VDD pins was a mistake i have gone, even if it worked.
In your picture, you use the RFID IC in Die version on a small PCB with two copper pads, corresponding to the SOT1040-1 (fig. 4 of the datsheet), noted LA and LB.
I think that pads are connected to RFP and RFN, then it's OK for the connection.
About 'It is going to work right', it depend of the antenna impedance that must be to matches to the module (Die on SOT1040 package), there is another problem.
The input impedance of the IC, is equivalent to a capacitor of 0.78pF in parallel with a resistor of 2.2kohms (23ohms - j.224ohms in serie at 915MHz).
