Both Ondansetron and Palonosetron are used as antiemetic in many cases like- pregnancy induced nausea and vomiting, child vomiting, chemotherapy induced nausea and vomiting, post-operative nausea and vomiting, and to stop motion sickness as well. Palonosetron is the latest version, but the physicians and pharmacists have greater choices to use Ondansetron on those indications. The point of patient safety is the major concern rather than the potency and/or efficacy.
