I made a Vickers Indentation on the surface of my glass ceramics sample under a load of 30N. The cracks length measured from the centre of the Indentation to the crack tips are 116.11micro-m, 106.78micro-m, 125.12micro-m and 94.38micro-m. The elastic modulus and the Vickers hardness are 93GPa and 6GPa respectively. If I am to use Anstis model, what would be the value of c?. Is it the average cracks length, i.e (116.11+106.78+125.12+94.38)/4?. Is Anstis model most suitable?. Please assist me. Thanks in anticipation.

You are right. However Ponton and Rawlings are cited about 700 times, whereas Anstis et al. (attached) is cited about 5000 times.
