Hello Every one,
I want to built up a 4th order low pass filter for my strain gauge signal as it is very noisy. My signal is around 100 micro volt.
Right now i am using butter worth filter (using the method attached in file). My cutoff frequency is 2khz. Also i am using LT1230 with components (attached in pic) for filter. But not getting appropriate result. Also my LT1230 heat up very quickly.
Bridge excitation voltage is 4KHz (2 V peak to peak).
I need your help for the design.
Looking forward for your suggestions. Any document that could help me would be appreciated :) .

I am giving +/- 15 volts from external supply. And i am driving bridge output.

I already read this manual. Every thing is fine. Just want to confirm if my filter is designed correctly or not?

I already find the source of my error. And that was my bridge offset voltage. Due to that i was unable to get my signal.

If this is a pure measurement problem , why not digitize the signal and filter with DSP software ?

a 2khz low pass filter: mmm n amplifier such as LF 353 is ideal. just use sallen and key two stage second order with zeta as required. (0.383, 0.924), and you should be ok
