We are starting a culture of HUVECs. We are successful growing them in the medium provide by the company (Sigma-Aldrich C-12200 Human Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cells, HUVEC) . But the "ready to be used" medium is very expensive and we are looking for alternatives. Do you have an alternative protocol for medium to keep a regular culture of HUVECs?
Any tip you be very appreciated.

Have you looked into using Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium (DMEM)? I would look into DMEM and see if the price is better. Check it out on Thermo Fisher. They have different versions of DMEM that may be useful.
