Dear all, i am keen to purchase some serum as blocking agent for pre-treatment of my samples before the addition of my primary antibodies. However, my primary antibodies are from two sources - mouse and rabbit. And my secondary antibodies are from goats. So what blocking agent and in what percentage would be best for this mixture? For your kind advice, please.

Dear Justin,
You can try blocking your PVDF membranes with either skimmed milk powder (10% in Tris buffer saline tween 1X) or BSA (bovine serum albumin, 5-10% in Tris buffer saline tween1X). I suggest you try both blockers for different times (few hours or overnight).
