Recently several lecturers at my college were exposed to Action Research by 2 persons attached to Education Planning and Research Division (EPRD) of the Education Ministry of Malaysia. Now we are all at various stages of preparing our research papers.
Please let me know of science journals that accept these articles on best teaching practices, especially if you have submitted your papers and published in them. None of us get a research grant, we are looking for a free or low cost journal. Thanks.

I conducted a study on Action Research with Colombian teachers. This has proven to be significant. I published the article in London. The journal is: Arts & Sciences in Higher Education. It is top notch.

Focusing in action (research) is good. However, I would suggest that the action research should not focus on "solving" the problem. Rather, action research should focus on the action of "generating" the solution to the chain of problems.
Some people argue that these are two sides of the same coin and are complementary. I however somewhat disagree. Focus on solving the problem focuses on the problem. The problem solver tends to be stranded in the jungle by the trees of problems.
Focus on generating the solution is more pragmatic since at times there is no best solution but a solution to a problem that needs to be acted upon. Act on the solution immediately rather than exploring indefinitely the problem(s).
I likewise would like to know from the ResearchGate participants good open access journals that do not charge. There is a controversy elsewhere in the ResearchGate warning people to be careful in choosing the Open Access journal. Despite of this controversy, I still believe that Open Access journal is the future.
