We know that there are 4 types of JAK involved in phosphorylating 7 different types of STATs. But I want to specifically know whether JAK 1, 2 or 3 phosphorylates STAT3 in IL6-induced macrophages. Could anyone throw light into this???
In humans IL6 receptor is associated with JAK1 and JAK2 (some authors also claim TyK2 to be associated to this receptor). So, JAK1/JAK2 mediate the IL6-induced phosphorylation of STAT3.
