I was wondering if there is any study about Yoga or Pranayama practices and its benefits over heart rate variability. It's very important for my current study.
Stephen David Edwards . According to the paper you shared, the benefit of practicing yoga for 6 months (2 times per week) is reflected in a breathing exercise called Uyyaji. The results of this breathing show that performing yoga for 6 months improves sympathovagal balance (interaction between the sympathetic nerve and the vagus nerve). This balance is encoded in the LF/HF ratio (of the amplitude spectrum of the ECG signal).
Do you see any other specific benefit of yoga practice?
