Which is the best way to conjugation HRP to a recombinant protein?

Hello!

I am working on conjugating horseradish peroxidase (HRP) to my recombinant protein for use in ELISA. I've searched for HRP conjugation methods but only found commercially available kits.

Could anyone recommend a protocol for conjugating my protein to HRP without using a kit?
