I suppose that an association of substances with different mechanism of action could be the choice, since a single substance often has only one antioxydant mechanism. As a base compound I would use a polyphenol, and I would prefer o-diphenols substances, because this kind of substances may also coordinate metals ions which catalize ROS formation, so extending the antioxydant activity to indirect oxidation process. Among polyphenols the choiche may be directed to the compound that posses the highest antioxydant level. The secondary compounds must have different antioxidant mechanism. A research in literature may help the choice of components.
Vitamin C from Amla. Physiologically single antioxidant can't work effectively. But amla also increase the selenium level in our body. Selenium is the replacement for the Vitamin E. Vitamin C and Se together can protect us from the pro oxidants.
The other compound present in the amla I don't know.
I can say its Resveratrol. You can use SOD activity measurement, GSH, GPX, etc.

I think that discussion on antioxydant substances is more complicated. From an analytical point of view the results obtained from a substance from different analysts can not be directly compared because there are several aspects which may change, e.g. the lab conditions or the operator skills, and this may not be correctly taken in account when comparing of different results,obtained from different studies in different places. I think that is the most important problem for the comparison you have proposed. Another aspect which I think that should be considered is from a chemistry point of view, in fact there are different antioxydant mechanism involved in the antioxydant activity. Flavonoids give stable radicals so, at least, they may be involved in exchange of radical with other molecules and finally may be replaced as flavonoids with all their activity. Other kind of molecules when oxydized may not reform easily the reduced, antioxydant, form, as in the case of vitamin c, or glutathion which needs an enzymatic mechanism to reform the reduced form. A similar mechanism related to that of glutathione is that of dihydrolipoic acid which from a dithiol is oxydized to a disulfide. When oxydized the molecule is blocked in this form until an enzyme catalyze the reduction.
In an in vitro assay normally is present only the tested substance and not any other component which may reform the active form of the molecule so the result is only on the objective activity in a specific assay.
@ Alessandro ... I agree with you. I want to know if we want to have the best antioxidant which can cover all or almost all or most of the aspects of antioxidant activity, then which would you consider to be the best out of the various antioxidants available regardless of the mechanism of action. Lot of research has been done on this topic and almost all the plants have been shown to possess this activity. So I was in search of a universal antioxidant molecule which can be used for variety of problems alone or a combination of two if it is not possible. Hope u got my point.

The antioxidant action is (and has to be) as variable as the variety of the free radicals produced in a living body. Different conditions onset variations of the free radicals entities that appear, and this depends on the individual condition of the body as well. If universal antioxidant existed, ne Mother Nature would is using it somewhere already. Or maybe we look ayt it not recognizing, who knows?
I agree with most of Dr Traykova. Another aspect to take into account when activity is considered on a living organism is the different bioavailability of the active compound. e.g. flavonoid aglicone and its glycoside have different solubility in acqueous medium and this may have a deep impact on antioxydant activity.
Exactly:). And there are "hidden" antioxidants, such as repairing enzymes that help to minimize the oxidative damage by fixing the altered structures of the antioxidant enzymes. Our knowledge how these are activated and what helps them to act more efficiently.
There is another aspect too: we have to consider the possibility for indirect antioxidant action, do to effects of some compounds on the bacteria in the intestinal tract; these may affect the permeability of the intestinal walls for toxins in many ways.
