I suggest your stady in water pollution. Because of its really need for worldwide.
Well,
Both studies are important and each has its own methods, and in general the fields of study of water pollution are much broader than air pollution studies.
Regards
I think the two together because of air pollution related to water pollution. For example, when spraying with chemical products as a pesticide, the small droplet size moves with air acting to the water surface
@Luay Qrenawi,
From a brief investigation regarding the topic, I would suggest you to study water pollution which seems more important than air pollution. Of course, let's bear in mind that there is an interrelationship of air pollution and water pollution.
Please take a look at the links below which may be useful concerning the main question of the thread.

of course water pollution is very important but air pollution one of reasons that lead to the water pollution
Depends of course.
When you ask an asthma patient in New-Delhi what's the most important of the two she/he will reply,... air pollution.
When you ask a farmer in central India what's the most important of the two she/he will reply,... water pollution.
If you ask a European what's the most important of the two she/he will answer,... both!
If you ask this question to the President of the USA he will answer none of them.
Enigmatic ain't it?
Both are important but I think air pollution is more effective because it is very fast to make a big problem in the world.
This is something like whether right eye is important or left eye is important. There is no doubt that both are important, but the importance may vary from place to place or region to region.
Both air pollution and water pollution are equally important for investigations and amelioration. Both can be equally dangerous - of course depends on several factors [Natural as well as Anthropogenic; can be seasonal etc.]. Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster; The Minamata Disaster; Bhopal Gas Tragedy - we can find innumerable number of examples of human and animal deaths caused due to both water pollution as well as air pollution.
However, in general we consider air pollution to be more important [as we are able to manage relatively safe drinking water] as everyone of us have to breath in air for survival [although few of us might try to protect ourselves using masks].
Further, there can be a direct link between air pollution and water pollution.
both are equally important for life and need attention in scientific community
I think air pollution is more important to be investigated because we cant filter our intake air in any situation but it is possible for us to use clean water using sophisticated membranes. So we should prioritize air pollution investigation.
As stated above, there is a link among air, water, and land/soil pollution. In my opinion, it depends mainly on your area of interest. You have to focus on your strengths first, by then you can have further researches that will connect/link other study areas.
I think two problems are intertwined. It's hard to make a ranking of these very important environmental problems.
As İlhami Ünlüoğlu said, these are intertwined problems. Most of the factors that pollute the air (eg factories) also pollute water or even nature. In my opinion, because the water constitutes sixty percent of our bodies and is the basis of our lives, water pollution seems to be more important than air pollution.
Like others have mentioned these two are intertwined and difficult to separate...but given a choice I would choose water because with air the important gas oxygen is produced by nature (trees) and the carbon dioxide is taken up by trees so if we just plant trees we MAY be okay but with water we need to greatly intervene the natural processes so as to get drinking water.
It depends, what type pollution of air or water want search u. also, there is many factors effective on pollution of air and water. Then we can find the importance of each one(air and water pollution).
It depends on what chemicals are contaminated by certain elements of the natural environment, including air and water.
The two sources of environmental pollutions are interrelated and hazardous to environmental lives. Therefore, it is very important to study the two of them.
I think it depends on your area study, I mean which are more polluted in your area Air or Water? When you survive your region carefully you will find the most worst air or water that needing you work on it, then you can take the right decision, because both are important
.
Pollution in the environment Now the task of study Holha and begin to snore cities heavily and clean the rivers of pollutants
All types of pollutions are important to study, need of hour is find solutions, remidies to reduce it,because we can not eliminate it 100% but bring down
Taking into consideration the real scenario and which needs more immediate attention care need to be taken to bring the pollution under control. Both air and water are natural resources and human need to be more diligent in handling them.
Without air and water no one cannot live so both pollution need to control is important
I think, air pollution is more hazardous because water purification methods are easier than air purification methods.
Both of them are important. However, air pollutant is what I prefer
As long as both are connected to human and environmental sustainability, they are very important research options. However, I think that the one you do at the moment should depend on your environment, dominant human activities, and human exposure.
Both are important ,you can study the Air pollution effect on human in respect of Municipal waste water open drains,Municipal waste water drains emits very harmful gases
It is difficult to objectively determine which type of environmental pollution, air or water pollution is a more important and interesting issue for conducting scientific research. In my opinion, both types of pollution are an important issue because they penetrate each other, affect each other. Air pollution also causes water pollution. On the other hand, production processes, energy, transport, industrial agriculture, households etc. emit air, water and soil pollution in various configurations, on a different scale, with various secondary effects on the natural environment, for the life of living organisms, flora, fauna and human beings, affect atmospheric processes, cause climate change (greenhouse gas emissions), change the species and ecological structure of natural ecosystems. To determine which type of environmental pollution is a more adequate topic for conducting scientific research, it is necessary to define the objectives of the research process, key determinants of the environmental pollution process, including the types of pollutants tested, their effects, biodegradability characteristics, possibilities of environmental purification and remediation of contaminated areas, civilized degraded specific environments, pollution reduction options, the use of eco-innovations to remove specific types of pollution from the environment, the use of water and air purification technologies, etc. After defining these determinants and determining their level of significance and mutual relations, you will be able to objectively decide which type of environmental pollution in the more air and / or water pollution is more relevant to conducting scientific research that will relate to specific areas and geographical zones specific natural ecosystems and implementation of specific goals, verification of research theses under defined assumptions and impact factors.

Dariusz Prokopowicz
I agree with Oluwadara Pelumi Omotayo both are important.
Both are equally important. You have to study both. Both are interrelated. you may study any one in detail but you have to acquire basic knowledge of both.
Both are important, but the chemical pollution of water is one of the most important and most serious problems facing modern man.
Well,
Today, in Corona's conditions, research in the field of air pollution is the most important until a suitable vaccine is reached, and after that, each event has a discussion.
Regards
Normal Person take 15 -18 breathes respiration in a minute , whereas water 3-4 lit in a day .
Thus air is more important.
Sir i feel both are equally important and they are interrelated.
Dear Luay Qrenawi:
To answer which study is more important; we should know for what purpose?
From a health point of view, both are important, and the order of importance would be; first the air and then the water.
It difficult to control air pollution . But purified water can be managed.
Well agreed it is difficult to control air pollution , water is also important but water can manage easily
Air quality is more important than water. Normal Person take 15 -18 breaths respiration in a minute , whereas water 3-4 lit in a day . Thus study of air pollution is more important than water pollution .
Salem Busais
But which one is more important , or you think they are same?
Maged G. Bin-Saad
Yes, I think both are important because we can not ignore one than another. Therefore, studies on air or water pollution have the same value as essential needs in our life.
Thank you Professor for your interest to know my opinion.
Best regards
Both are equally important.air pollution is more important for survival.
It depends; interest, context, but all are critical targets Luay Qrenawi
All environmental components are equally important in pollution perspective. But the quality of water, air and soil is much degraded in past decades. In particularly health risk profile, air pollution is more dangerous.
Luay Qrenawi
Dear Professor,
Thank you for the excellent question.
Just now, I answered a similar type of a question in this platform. The impact of air pollution is much more quick. The impact of water pollution is slightly slow in many cases. That's why, I would say that it is more important to study air pollution than water pollution.
Thank you.
Best regards,
Anamitra.
Dear Luay Qrenawi considering the first law of the ecology that everything is interconnected, I would suggest you to study both and their linkages in order to find effective solutions for theses pressing issues of our global society. Kind regards, Ernani
Both of them are equally important. But I think remediation of air pollution should be given preference.
Although, both air as well as water pollution are both pressing challenges and can have irreversible effects but I believe it is justified to study air pollution comparatively more than water study.
In the short run, there is a chance to pre-proess (filter) polluted water before taking it but we need to breathe in air in real time without the facility to pre-process it.
In the long run, if water pollution and/or air pollution is not studied and if corrective measures are not taken, both these can create irreversible problems at a global level. Therefore, both should be treated equally, studied and measures recommended to check the pollution in both forms
Air pollution and water pollution both are important because both are related to human and animal health and survival. Important is what ever do must be excellent , economical, easily available.
I think air pollution because air has high energy and can travel very fast. So If one place is polluted it will reach many places. Water pollution cannot be as widespread as air pollution.
Air pollution study is very important , the air pollution treatment will minimize water pollution
All environmental components, soil, air and water, has equal importance. The merit of studies depends on the severity of the polluted medium. Sometimes indoor air pollution is more digastric compared to a fully polluted river. Similarly, a cup of contaminated water can also be lethal. So, the scope and need of study depend on the extent and potency of pollution, socio-economic, geographic and climatic conditions of an area. Air pollution is mostly caused by anthropogenic sources that significantly change from one place to another and normally have a less prehistoric background (except greenhouse gases). Whereas in water pollution, many natural phenomena also involved and most sites have prehistoric pollution backgrounds (e.g., pesticide buildup, mining activities, weathering of parent material, groundwater pollution). Moreover, the toxin in the air can spread rapidly and widely compare to water; however, it has fast natural normalization by dilution, deposition (dry and wet) and photodegradation.
