I think modern classification of fungi integrate with old classification
The old classification used to consider fungi as a part of the plant kingdom known as the Thyllophate plant division, while the modern classification considers fungi to be a kingdom known as the kingdom of True fungi(Mycota), and within this classification, Oomycetes was placed within the kingdom of Straminipilia and Myxomycetes within kingdom Protozoa.
