I am trying to set data for cox model. Of which in my healthy cohort some participants have had event before and then died. Eg of one participant in my data; date_event=may2016 and death_date=aug2017.

As per my understanding, he should be censored by death and his end_date should be replaced by death_date. Is my understanding correct? If not can you please explain why it is incorrect.
