I am responding to queries from a peer reviewer who is requesting I submit estimate parameters alongside my Odds Ratio.
To me I see it as a duplicity and will make the table looks overcrowded.
Is it appropriate to report both estimate parameters and ORs at the same time considering the fact that exponentiating these parameters produces the OR?
What's the essence of reporting estimate parameters when the OR have been reported?
My understanding is that by asking for the estimate parameters he is simply requesting that you report the CIs, which looks quite duplicative but many a journal these days request it.there is not need creating another section for it, u can simply repot the odds and then place the CIs behind them.
eg 1.5(0.002- 1.700) .Some reviewers just want to be sure that your odds fall within the estimate values and that you may not have tampered with the data , how weird but that is the logic of some reviewers, just do it for him and move on .
Thanks Seth for your suggestion. The estimate parameters are the coefficients which if exponentiated will result to the ORs
