In my opinion, each scientific publication indexation database has its pros and cons, i.e. it is not perfect. But the databases that are more precise in terms of the indexation of citations and scientific publications include, for example, Google Scholar. The Research Gate portal also has many advantages, but it sometimes happens that some citations are searched with a significant delay. On the other hand, the Research Gate portal is gradually being improved and has many other useful functions that other research databases do not have.
Our previous study shows there was no single database that covered all relevant articles; the optimal method for bibliometric analysis is a combination of databases.
