Enzymatic methods have been reported for the accurate quantitative determination of tryptophan using Pronase ( Spies. Anal. Chem. 1967, 39, 12, 1412–1416 ) and Papain. Is it possible to use other commercial enzymes for this determination? In my lab I have several proteases as Proteinase K from Tritirachium album (Sigma P2608 CAS 39450-01-6), or Protease from Streptomyces griseus (EC 3.4.24.31). I appreciate your assistance.
