Rumani - it doesn't matter too much if you are an independent researcher or not. Journals are more focused on the quality of the submitted manuscript.
Also - you would need to specify your topic and discipline. I would also advise that you are mindful of the fact that many 'predatory' journals are based in India.
The reputed ones including Nature, Science, Elsevier, Springer, Wiley, etc.
India follows the ugc framework and ugc has a ugc care list of journals which you can check.it may have listed emeralds but the easier publication would be the ugc care Indian journal listed in that list.

The suggestions given by the researchers above could be considered. In addition to that, in my personal experience, unless you are a big name in the scientific fraternity, the independent researchers are not regarded well in the peer-review process. It is a sad truth that they look for the reputation of the author/Institute/organization. This is my modest opinion and Ive seen some friends of mine suffer too.
This world is vast. Not everyone knows it. Yet they must be doing it as their job. Your research item need not be recognized for you to be able to invent. Its destiny also. The beggar might be the one you are looking for. Work of Great scientists as Einstein got recognized and understood after they died. We are human beings. We do make mistakes and are misunderstood always. Rarely do the deserving ones get recognized. That does not or Shouldn't stop us. Open a lab of your own and invent. Help will come automatically. In India we lack the confidence cause they put us down.
You should not necessarily follow country publishers. You should also liaise with Research Director and librarians
Most respected are global ones, but publishers like Columbia good

I don't think it is. It seems to stating it is an Organization in India which has created a list of journals that are reputable, but website very unclear

It works on you submit paper then they will publish for you but you cannot obtain a list of any journals it claims. It claims to represent some India quality journal ranking
