Commercial equipment tends to be quite expensive, for small scale operations it is possible to get good results from 'home-made' set-ups. However it can be very time consuming!

(Precision (lockable) voltage power supply, with resettable current limiting, precision power resistors, data logger to measure voltage, timers etc.)

If thermal cycling is to be carried out at significantly high temeratures, safety should be a major concern, the cell under test should be in an environment to protect the operator.(remote operation/bunker)
