CO2 Sequestrated EOR
1. Effect of Gravity: Whether, high API gravity oil remains to be more suitable for CO2 miscible flooding process than lower gravity?
Whether, lower oil gravity means higher viscosity which leads to unfavorable mobility ratio and in turn, would result in poor sweep efficiency due to viscous fingering?
2. Effect of viscosity: Whether, reservoirs with oil viscosities lower that 12 cp would remain to be more appropriate for CO2 miscible flooding?
3. If the remaining oil in the reservoir remains to be lesser than 300 STB/acre ft, then, whether, CO2 miscible flooding would remain to succeed?
4. If reservoir permeability remains to be lesser than 5 md, then, whether, CO2 miscible flooding would remain to succeed?
5. Although, CO2 injection through development of miscibility has the potential to increase the recovery, whether, the ‘enhanced CO2 mobility’ and the ‘increased CO2 phase segregation’ would tend ‘to reduce the total RF’ compared to ‘water-flooding’?
