Dear colleagues, is there a database which contents the correspondence between gene id and protein id for a species? (I have two data sets for the same organism, including either gene id or protein id. i need to analyse the parameters of this data sets, but dont know how to link protein id to its gene id). I hope i have formulated the question understandably:)

we have used the protein-coding gene table from HGNC to make such links in our bioinformatics graph database.

and I should have mentioned that the data I working with are from Amoebas. So not every database has it:)

Thank you! i'm afraid they dont have this table in amoebadb. Maybe I shall try to download the list of proteins and the list of genes from ncbi databases and then write a python script to track the info i need.
Agreed! That's why we decided to integrate several sources into a big graph database. The underlying idea of our work can be also applied to non humans. Feel free to contact me if you are interested on building something like that together :)
