We are conducting some experiments in a pilot project involving methamphetamine self-administration, but our timeline is very short -- we need to begin experiments within 2-3 weeks. This is at short notice, so we will probably not be able to obtain the drug from the NIDA Drug Supply program (we have the DEA license for it). Sigma-Aldrich is backordered for (+)-methamphetamine hydrochloride until 2020 -- the only other product available is a very expensive USP standard. We checked Cayman Chemical, but they sell 5 mg quantities for a very high price, and 5 mg is not enough to run self administration experiments on multiple animals. We're using Cayman for our slice prep experiments, but we still need a supplier for the self-administration experiments. Are there other suppliers in the United States?
