So I've created several nested squares (i.e. all sharing the same center) and saved them as ROIs as well as overlays (I have a flattened and an unflattened version). I would like to use these nested squares to analyze another region of the image. Is there a way to copy and paste just the outlines of the regions I am interested in? If I try to copy and paste the selection for the largest nested square, I end up getting some of the image underneath the outline which I don't want. I could theoretically manually draw the nested squares again since I know their dimensions, but this would be rather time-consuming because I'd have to ensure that each square is on-center. These images are HRP IHC images and I am essentially crudely quantifying the spread of the intensity of the staining over different areas at low magnification (I have also done some cell counts at higher magnification). Fluorescence images would've been better, but I have to work with what I've got.
I'm using ImageJ version 2.0.0 -rc-67/1.52j. I've attached an image with the nested squares.
