If you have data on phylogenetics, functional divergence and 3d structures, where should you publish it?
Hi Mulder,
Why not publish in Molecular Phylogenetics and Evolution (MPE) or Molecular Biology and Evolution (MBE). Both of them are high impact journal with IF at least 4++.
Oke, but in the field of molecular evolution what are the most infuential journals, e.g. which journals a read the most?
Probably this is what you need to look into, according to SCImago Journal and Country Rank (SJR).

Thanks. Any experience with submitting to one of these journals?
Dear John, thanks for your reply. Also the question for you. Do you have any experience submitting to these journals?
You could send your MS to Ronald Jenner: http://www.nhm.ac.uk/research-curation/about-science/staff-directory/life-sciences/r-jenner/
He knows a lot about phylogenetics and really assesing the value of the manuscript can only be done properly if somebody reads it.
Dear Chris,
Thanks for your advise. I'll think about it.
While doing research on genes possibly involved in a specific phenotype, you can run in to several difficulties for the interpretation and classification of mutations found, consequently making...

I have recently found a mutation that leads to a premature stopcodon. I now want to know if this mutation could result in nonsense-mediated mRNA decay. Are there ways to do this?
