Dear colleagues,
Is it alright to register a systematic review and meta-analysis (focusing on human health studies) with the International Platform of Registered Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis Protocols (INPLASY) as an alternative to PROSPERO? Will journals accept INPLASY?

PROSPERO seems to be the standard but I wouldn't anticipate it being an issue.
At the time of publication PRISMA-P, only one registry for prospective systematic review registration exists—the PROSPERO register. However, I found two more platforms where you can register your SR, and both provide unique identified number: https://www.researchregistry.com and http://www.inplasy.com (the second one provides a DOI number additionally and is cheaper than the first one).

We have already registered our protocol under both platforms (PROSPERO and IMPLASY). We got the registration number and DOI from IMPLASY, but it seems we should wait longer for the first one. As long as the PROSPERO appears to be more standard and the most popular one, we are not sure whether journals will accept IMPLASY or not. Maybe we should contact editors to make sure about it!

I've just submitted my registration and completed my payment on INPLASY. Once done, no progress or status can be traced. Unlike prospero, no e-mail was received either. So I'm a little confused.

Both PROSPERO and IMPLASY appears to be recognized by journals, but the first one seems to be the standard. Maybe you should contact editors to make sure about it!
