Species either live in equilibrium with their environment or they deplete it and become extinct. Or changes in the environment happen too fast for them to evolve and they become extinct. Long story short, species become extinct. People will become extinct over the coming centuries. In deep time, we will be a band of plastics, pollutants and wasted agricultural soil in the geological record. 

Salvation? Even supposing such a thing existed, why would it save humans?

Maraviroc for Preexposure Prophylaxis

Maraviroc-containing PrEP was safe and well tolerated by women at risk for HIV infection in a phase II study.

There is a clear dissociation between the mind and the groin. Go ahead and indulge--we are not very far behind and will catch-up with you to protect you. The GROIN has clearly overtaken the world and the flesh is far far more powerful than the spirit. This is nothing new to the sapiens or to the oldest profession in the world. Nowadays, we encourage an HIV-testing before each GROIN encounter with a different sexual partner. Each GROIN encounter is a fresh adventure or conquest. Interestingly, there is a particular definition of the intellectual as relates to the GROIN.  

The fruitless search for a gonorrhea vaccined ates back more than a century. All 4 candidates that made it to clinica ltrials failed to provide any protection against the sexually transmitted infection (STI), which can cause pelvic inflammatory disease leading to ectopic pregnancy, infertility, and chronic pain in women,as well as increased HIV acquisition and transmission--see attachment.

The point is the DO; just DO it. Shedding the Victorian modesty of yore, the DO is the pressure in the mind, inflated to unbelievable levels in some countries in the world. The DO is also a form of punishment meted out to resistant or quasi-resistant females and now also in the MSM quarters, with murder following not far after.

The older civilizations were just that -- more civil. With words/terms like mons veneris and ductus deferens, who would have thought we would end up in such a huge pubic mess.

THIS IS THE ERA OF THE GROIN. CELEBRATE.  

All Governments, so busy with the Governance, democratic or otherwise, turn a blind eye and pretend that nothing like this appalling activity could occur in their realms. IN THE ERA OF THE GROIN, which is way beyond recorded history of humankind over the last 25 centuries, I was caught thick in the middle of collapse of the USSR cradle-to-grave socialist system. The State, because it is so powerful, can renege on any plane or dimension. Hordes of incredible beautiful girls descended in the Middle East to generate revenue for themselves simply to survive. I served at the Women's prison at Dubai, U.A.E. for several years to experience first-hand the mortification of seeing the compulsions and the desperation writ large on their futures.

I write poems to deal with my own stress. Tossed in these giant waves of human affairs, I wrote "Pudendum", that was published in the volume Azure and Amber, won the bronze medal in an International contest in1992, and was captured also on CD that was read out by a professional reader in the U.S.A. after I declined the invitation by Poetry.com  to read it out myself on stage. I hold the full copyright to my poem as well as to the full pain of being witness to a horrible chapter of History of time. I wrote as if I was a sex-worker myself with clouds of despair and no hope for redemption, nor rise of the sun, nor day or date having any meaning, with the seasons melting like butter into the sands of time and into the desert without even brushing past me...

Presented for publication to the medical journal NEUROLOGY (AAN) as one of their regular features, the Editor concerned wrote back to me that both he and the rest of the editorial team at NEUROLOGY were very straight-forward and straight-faced and had done nothing to be ashamed of. Rejection was no shame for me, however. Pudendum / pudere is Middle English < Late Latin for 'shame'.. medically or anatomically covering the external genital organs, especially those of the female; vulva. 

AIDS quenches not the fire in the loins

or the fire of hunger in the belly...or the fire in the forest of human suffering...

With poems, one speaks straight from the SA node of the heart, not the mind:

Of course, I care about AIDS

And, I know about AIDS.

Knowledge, Instructions, Protection

Wrapped in Ribaldry, Debauchery, Promiscuity

The new religion of the mod and the hip.

I wink at my first born, decked up,

leaving for her first date.

In my mind's eye, I visualize her rhythm,

Self -assured and condom-insured.

I read, see, hear the orgaistic cries, panting

and the grunting to titillation;

Salute rutting stags,

Lap and pole dancers, female and male,

And the ones unhappy with their gender roles.

Salute the salivating books and films blue, for the

Southern quickening and the sickening turbulence of the mind

Greeting Sojourners numb to feeling, calm to acceptance, of the

Epidemic.  

Fooling myself and the chorus of the world,

Anti-virus for the rhetoric of prevention.

Carry on...to oblivion !!

 HIV-AIDS is the medicalization of a social problem; the reverse is also not unknown, the socialization of a medical problem.

Every new antiretroviral spells billions of dollars for the Industry -- celebrations and champagne -- in the face of an ongoing and burgeoning burden of the disease in the society, and, the dead certainty that virus will mutate to render the new drug less effective to useless. But, hey, lets make hay while the sun shines!!!! Science, empathy, morality, and philosophy collide at the crossroads to the future; the collision produces much sound and fury but generates no light for the current huge cohort as well as the generations to come.
