Conservation is the important property of universe as per physics. thousands of TB data was deleted from PC's, Laptops and Smart mobile phones every day. Erasure of information is associated with thermodynamics. the maximum energy was required to erase maximum data from any electronic media. As per law of thermodynamics, energy can neither be created nor destroyed, energy can only be transferred or changed from one form to another. in this condition, in which form energy was transferred, where it conserved? what is effect of massive data erasure on ecosystem?

The information on our disk is saved as a serial of 1 and 0. To erase the data means rewrite them into all 0s. Free energy includes both enthalpy and entropy. Since a given piece of information on the disk contains roughly equal amount of 1s and 0s, and it take roughly the same amount of energy to write 1 and 0, the enthalpy term for erasing should be roughly the same as for creating the information. Then is the entropy, the entropy is a measure of the "disorder or randomness". A serial of 0s (erased data) maybe a little less disordered than a serial of 1 and 0 (saved data), which means it requires external energy from the environment to decrease the disorder of the 1 and 0s.
