I am looking for an Olympus Cx43 model microscope that has been used or was a demo model. I would also settle for other earlier models of Olympus microscopes. I need a 100X objective, a camera port, and it needs to be capable of phase contrast. Any advice, offers to sell, or places to look would be appreciated.
Used lab equipment can be found all over - even eBay! The only risk is not knowing the state it's in.
If you want to demo, I'm sure you can find a rep from the Olympus site. Usually they're very happy to bring a model out - at least that's been my experience in the Boston/Cambridge area (which may not be the same everywhere given the density of labs here).

One more hint - many US universities are running surplus exchange programs, try to look at a few large ones.

Not sure where you are located, but Jewel Optical (John Simon Instruments) in Hohokus, New Jersey often has used microscopes of various types and he does all his own servicing so his equipment is in tip top shape.
