A lot of birds sounds databases exist. There is also a lot of publications comparing sonograms of different species. Have anybody know one publication concentrating all sound frequencies of European common bird species?
Thank you for your reply, but public databases like Xeno-canto don't solve my problem unfortunately. I'am looking for publication can be cited in my paper. Otherwise i need only frequencies (as variables), specified methodologically. Sounds must be comparable between species.
Are you looking for papers to cite or papers that contain data that can be used in some sort of meta-analysis. I doubt that such a large-scale summary of time and frequency parameters exists, especially given the geographic variation within species. It would need to be done on a population-level, and that would be one awesomely large publication or appendix.
Maybe if you could clarify your intended use, we could help guide you a bit more!
The series of books of CRAMP & SIMMONS and CRAMP & PERRINS, The Birds of the Western Palearctic, includes good information on voices and sonograms of many bird species from this area. I consider such bibliographical source very important in this sense.
