I did not find many commercial available pure substances for reasonable prices. If you have samples that you can share, or know potential sources, please let me know. It could also be homologous series like a methyl group or unsaturations at different positions or anything else that might be separated by GCxGC.

• Sigma-Aldrich (e.g., Aliphatic Hydrocarbons Kit, Product 44575)
Can you define "reasonable prices", or provide a price range of what is reasonable to you? As you know, analytical standards for hydrocarbons are highly regulated products. Vendors who have secured ASTM, AFNOR, and other international certifications can command premium pricing. Nevertheless, hydrocarbon standards are commodities, albeit expensive. It may be more prudent to negotiate preferred pricing with your local suppliers, with stipulations that they provide all conformity documentation for compliance as well as provide deals for other consumables. That alkanes-mix 19 from Neochema is close to what I am looking for. I´ll give you examples of what would be suitable, besides pure substances: a mixture of C16s with different numbers of methyl groups, or C16s with 1 methy, or ethyl, or proply,... side chain, or ...
